Updated Practice Files

Hi Singers!

I have started to save the audio files from our rehearsals under the Practice Audio Files tab. This way you can hear how we currently sound and also there are songs there that were dropped last year. So, please listen to those songs and practice so that we will sound better next time we sing them!

Also, Cory has asked us to memorize our first and last pieces. Those are I Love a Broadway Show, and The Impossible Dream. He would also like us to work on and commit to memory More I Cannot Give You, and It Only Takes a Moment.

MHC Motto, by Rain Jeppson

M.H.C. Motto

My vowels will go from floor to ceiling
I'll know my part and sing with feeling
No "h's", no sliding, no reaching for notes
Just nice warm tones and open throats

On the edge of my seat is where I'll sit
I won't plod along or talk a bit
When I resolve I'll do it proud
I won't be afraid to sing it loud

Vibrato is nice, in small amounts
Remember warmth is what really counts
I'll watch for cutoffs, my words I won't chew
I'll breathe from the gut, and when we are through
I'll practice and practice and practice some more
And be ready to shine when I walk through that door.
